Sports Awards 2009
The 3rd annual sports awards ceremony took place on 17 September 2009 at the SmartLife Centre, Cambridge Regional College. The event was organised by Cambridge Sport Network in partnership with Cambridge City Council Sports Development Service, and supported by, Heart 103, Core Cambridge, Cambridge Regional College and Cambridge News.
“The sports awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the importance of sport in Cambridge and recognise those that have made significant achievements” stated Brian Liston-Clark, Community Sport Network Officer.
For the 2009 sports awards there were the following categories:
- Coach of the year
- Sports performer of the year
- Disabled sports performer of the year
- Young sports performer of the year
- Volunteer of the year
- Club of the year
- Young volunteer of the year
- School of the year
